Over the years, my career choices ranged from accountant to interior
designer to antiques dealer, with a special interest in antique glass.
One day, I 'discovered' tiny glass beads on a trip to bead shop with a
friend. The seemingly endless variety of colors and finishes reminded
me of some of the most interesting art glass, and I knew immediately
that this would become my preferred art medium, and a way to
reconnect with the process of design.

Currently, I find myself
drawn to a larger
'canvas'. I'm currently
working on more
embroidered pieces,
and experimenting with
mixed media pieces.

Always adventurous with a needle and
thread, I taught myself several bead
weaving techniques, and started
designing beaded jewelry that I exhibited
at several Illinois art fairs. Sharing what I
loved to do was a great experience, as
was the encouragement I received!
